The cheapest is not always the best deal
A station two cents cheaper, fifteen kilometres away, can end up costing you more. Risparmia Benzina Gasolio puts the trip into the sum too, and tells you what you really save.
The area average
The average price of the stations around you, with the lowest and the highest, for your fuel: you can tell at once whether a price is good.
The trip in the sum
For each station the distance as the crow flies and by road, what it costs to get there with your car and the net saving on a full tank. If the cheap one is too far, the app tells you.
Take me there
Once you have chosen a station, "Portami lì" opens Maps straight from the list. The star adds it to your favourites, to find it again next time.
What's inside
Everything you need to decide where to fill up, and nothing else.
The area you want
Your location, even an approximate one, or a town you search for. A radius from 2 to 30 km, sorted by net saving, by price or by distance.
Your car
Petrol, diesel, LPG or methane; self-service, full service or either. Consumption and litres per fill-up, if you know them: otherwise the app uses the averages. Several vehicles, if there is more than one at home.
The sum explained
For each station, line by line: the prices, the saving on a full tank, the cost of the trip and the net. No magic numbers.
Every price
Petrol, diesel, LPG and methane, self-service and full service, with the time the operator reported them and a warning if they are a few days old.
The Ministry's data
Prices are the open data of the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (Osservaprezzi carburanti, IODL 2.0 licence), reported by the station operators. The app downloads them once a day; offline, it uses the last ones downloaded.

Your location stays on your phone
Risparmia Benzina Gasolio has no account and collects no usage statistics. It asks the system for your location only while the app is open, and an approximate one is enough: never in the background. Without permission you can search for a town. The average, distances, cost of the trip and saving are worked out on the phone: your location, your car and your favourites are not sent to anyone. Once a day the app downloads from our website a public file, the same for everyone, with the prices for the whole of Italy (open data of the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, IODL 2.0 licence); the request carries no data about you and the server keeps no access log. "Portami lì" passes the station to Maps, only when you tap it. The only thing that goes through the store is the optional tip.
