Fair Share
Available on the App StoreWho owes
what?
Tonight's dinner, a week-long trip, a shared flat for a year. Write who paid and how to split it: the balance updates at once and tells you who owes whom how much, with the fewest money transfers.
What it looks like
Real screenshots of the app, not mock-ups: what you see here is what you get on your phone.
"So, how much do I owe you?"
After a dinner or a trip the sums get done on the back of a napkin, and someone always ends up a few euros short. Fair Share keeps track of who paid what and settles up with the fewest transfers.
The fewest transfers
Two or three instead of ten crossed payments: debts cancel out, and the balance tells you, from your point of view, who owes whom how much.
Four ways to split
Equally, leaving someone out if you like; by shares or percentages; by item; by exact amounts, with a check that the total adds up. Paid by one or more people.
The message is already written
A text or a WhatsApp for each person, with what they owe: the app opens Messages or WhatsApp with the text ready, and you send it.
What's inside
Everything you need to settle up between friends without arguments, and nothing else.
The bill, item by item
Write the items of the bill and tap each one to say who had it. Items with nobody are split between everyone, tip and discounts in proportion to what each person had.
The pennies always add up
100 € between three is 33.33 + 33.33 + 33.34, and the app says who pays the extra cent. Mark who has already paid, until the group is settled.
Quick bill
For tonight's dinner, without creating a group: it closes by itself once you're settled. People come from your phone's contacts, or you type them in.
A summary to send
With Pro, the summary image of an expense or of the whole group, with who paid what and how to settle up, to send to your friends.
Travelling, in any currency
With Pro, different currencies in the same group, with the exchange rate you write yourself, and as many active groups as you like, instead of one at a time.
Old trips, always there
With Pro, closed groups to look back at whenever you like, every expense and payment in a CSV, and a backup of your groups to move to a new phone.
Free, then Pro if you need it
The free version has all four ways to split and the ready-written messages. Pro is a single purchase, no subscription, no renewal; if you change phone you restore it from the store, with the same account.

Your data stays yours
Fair Share has no account, asks for no sign-up and collects no usage statistics. Groups, expenses and payments live in your phone's storage and are not sent anywhere. You pick people from your contacts with the system picker, without giving the app permission to read your address book: the app only receives the name and number of the person you tap. Messages never go out by themselves: the app opens Messages or WhatsApp with the text ready, and you send it. The only thing that goes through the store is the purchase check.
Something wrong, or something missing?
Reports are read by one person, the same one who writes the code. Tell me what happened and on which phone: it's the fastest way to get it fixed.
