Puntina

Where did
you leave it?

Your car two levels underground, your bike at the station, your beach umbrella on a crowded beach. Tap "Save here", add a photo and a note, and when you come back Puntina shows you the way with a compass and the distance.

Soon on Google Play and the App Store What it does
Puntina: save a spot and find it again with a compass.

"Where did I leave the car?"

A huge car park, a beach full of identical umbrellas, a station with a hundred bikes: on the way back you never remember the exact spot. Puntina saves it when you arrive and takes you back to it when you return.

Save here

One tap and the phone takes your location, telling you honestly how precise it is: a few metres outdoors, much less indoors. A photo of the pillar and a note like "Level -2, pillar B7" do the rest.

Take me there

A compass with an arrow and the distance, worked out on the phone and offline. When you are close, the arrow makes room for the photo of the spot: the last bit you do by eye.

Even without a signal

Three floors underground there may be no location: the place is saved anyway, with the photo and the note. Once you are there, tap "Found it" and the place leaves the list.

What's inside

Everything you need to find a place again, and nothing else.

Eight kinds of place

Car, bike, motorbike, beach umbrella, locker, tent, keys and other, each with suggestions for the note: level, pillar, row, number. A photo, taken or from your gallery, that stays inside the app.

Open in Maps and share

"Open in Maps" hands the point to Apple Maps or Google Maps, only when you tap it. You can also send the point to anyone you like, with or without the photo. Found places stay for 30 days, then delete themselves.

No limit on places

With Pro, as many active places as you like, instead of 3 at a time: your car, your bike and your gym locker together, and more.

The parking timer

With Pro, how long you can stay, with a reminder before it runs out and one when it does. They are notifications from your phone: they pass through no server.

The "Save here" widget

With Pro, a button on the Home Screen that opens the app straight on "Save here". "Save here" is also there when you hold the app icon.

CSV and backup

With Pro, every place in a CSV and a backup, photos included, to move to a new phone. Restoring stays free.

Free, then Pro if you need it

The free version has photos, notes, the compass, "Open in Maps" and sharing, with up to 3 active places at a time: when you find one, a slot frees up. Pro is a single purchase, no subscription, no renewal; if you change phone you restore it from the store, with the same account.

Your location stays on your phone

Puntina has no account, asks for no sign-up and collects no usage statistics. It asks the system for your location only while the app is open, when you save a place and when it guides you back: never in the background, no recorded routes, no map inside the app. The point stays in the app's database on your phone and is not sent to us or anyone else; the distance and direction are worked out on the phone. "Open in Maps" and "Share" pass the point to another app only when you tap them. The camera and the gallery open only when you add a photo. Parking reminders are notifications from your phone. The only thing that goes through the store is the purchase check.
