You always remember in the wrong place
The milk comes to mind on the sofa, the jacket to pick up once you have walked past the dry cleaner, the garage keys halfway there. A timed reminder goes off when you are not there. Geo Note goes off when you are.
The place, in a few taps
"Here, now", with the accuracy in numbers, or by searching an address, picking on the map or sharing a place from another app. Around the point, a circle from 100 m to 2 km.
On arrival or on leaving
You choose when to be reminded: when you arrive, when you leave or both, just once or every time. "Leaving home? Take the keys" works just like "At the supermarket? The milk".
Even with the app closed
The system watches the circles of your active notes and wakes the app when you enter or leave one: the notification arrives even if Geo Note is not open, and no routes are recorded.

What place it is
Home, work, shop, pharmacy, school, gym or other: every place with its own icon and colour, so you recognise your notes at a glance.
The status in words
Every note says what it is doing: listening, you're already here (the reminder comes next time), paused and why. Nothing to guess.
Reminder history
For each note, the latest reminder and the most recent events, with day and time. And with "Open in Maps" you get there with Apple Maps or Google Maps.
Days and times
With Pro, reminders only when they help: for example Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 7 pm.
Saved places
With Pro, the places you use often are saved once and picked with one tap.
CSV and backup
With Pro, every note in a CSV and a backup of everything, to move to a new phone. Restoring stays free.

The free version includes every way to set the place, arrival and leaving, the history and restoring from a backup, with one note listening at a time; notes that are off can be written and kept without limits. Pro is a single purchase, no subscription; if you change phone you restore it from the store, with the same account.

Your location stays on your phone
Geo Note has no account, asks for no sign-up, shows no ads and collects no usage statistics. To remind you with the app closed it asks for "Always" location, and explains why before asking; then the system watches the circles of your active notes: no recorded routes, no location sent to us or anyone else. Places, notes and history stay in the app's database on your phone. The OpenStreetMap maps come from our own server, which keeps no access logs; address search is done by the phone through Apple. Reminders are local notifications. The only thing that goes through the store is the Pro purchase check.
